Agricultural Development Bank of China (ADBC) recently won the bid of Shandong Lanling Farm Science and Technology Demonstration Park Project (Phase I) Using Israeli Government Loan, marking breakthrough in its business of on-lending foreign government loan projects. This project is significant for ADBC to expand intermediate business and innovate to support agriculture, thus facilitating diversification and internationalization of its business as an agricultural policy bank.
ADBC has made collaborative efforts by mobilizing its branches to win the bid. International Department of ADBC Head Office fully participated in the project bidding together with Shandong Branch, and offered necessary assistance. ADBC Shandong Branch proactively communicated with Lanling Agricultural Reclamation Industrial Corporation, the tenderer, and received support from local authorities concerned, laying solid foundation for conducting the project.
Although meeting with Israeli managers in charge was restrained due to COVID-19 pandemic, ADBC International Department kept contact with Embassy of Israel in Beijing and Israeli banks on work flow of the project through multiple channels, completing the preparations for the tender documents. For the next phase, ADBC International Department will push forward the implementation of the project by making further efforts.
